WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ECLIPSE

More enduring than titanium, harder than tungsten, and even more timeless than gold, Eclipse diamond bands are created by pressing over 25 million diamond crystals into a solid diamond ring. The formation process is intense, with temperatures exceeding 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit and pressure of over 1 million pounds per square inch. Finally, an electric current cuts and shapes each band with exacting precision. Quite simply – Eclipse is the ultimate in band sophistication and cutting-edge technologies.

Because they’re diamond, Eclipse can only be scratched by another diamond. Don’t believe us? Take your band and do your damndest on the concrete outside, just don’t ask us to help remove the marks on the sidewalk as your band destroys the pavement. Your band is so hard, in fact, that what could happen is another surface may adhere to your band when “scratched” together. To remove, simply use some sandpaper to restore the finish.

Your jeweler or an emergency services team member should crack the band for safe removal.

 You better believe it! Due to the high thermal conductivity of diamond, when you hold your ring onto a piece of ice, the heat from your body passes through the diamond to the ice. If you merely dropped the diamond on top of the ice without pressing it to the cube – nothing would happen.

Eclipse bands start as white crystal diamonds, but the extreme heat applied during production causes the crystals to fuse together and form an opaque matrix that prevents light from reflecting through the ring, resulting in a rich black band that will never scratch or fade.
